Questions
- Do I need an account to check a bill?
- No. Open the bill and it is read on your device without signing up. To see the findings for one bill you pay $6.99 on Stripe’s checkout page; a signed receipt for that bill stays in your browser and there is still no account. Only subscribers have anything like an account, and only so they can sign in on another device.
- What does “on your device” mean?
- Your browser reads the bill itself (a PDF’s text layer directly, a scan or photo by text recognition that runs on your machine) and keeps the file, what it read and your results in its own storage. Nothing is uploaded. We have no copy of your bill and no way to get one.
- What is sent when I run the checks?
- Only the figures your browser read and you checked: line items, amounts, dates, billing codes and the provider name, plus your corrections and the country. Never the file, never a page image, never the patient’s name, account number, date of birth or member ID. The function runs the checks in memory, returns the findings and stores nothing.
- I subscribed. Will a new bill cost extra?
- No. Every bill you check is included until your next payment date. You are never asked to pay again before the renewal date, which the billing page shows you in plain words.
- How do subscribers sign in on another device?
- Enter the email address you used at checkout and we email you a link. Opening the link on the new device installs your subscription pass there. There is no password. Single-bill purchases are tied to the browser that bought them; download your data from Settings to move them.
- Can I get a refund?
- No. Purchases are non-refundable, because the findings are delivered the moment you pay. You see the price, and what we read from your bill, before you decide. If we charge you wrongly or fail to deliver, we put it right.
- Will you find every billing error?
- No, and we don’t claim to. We check what can be checked from the document itself, and we tell you what we could not read or reconcile.
- What happens to my bills if I cancel?
- Nothing, because they were never on our side. Your bills and results stay in your browser until you erase them from Settings. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
