What we look for
Every check is ordinary arithmetic and comparison over what your document actually says. We tell you what we found, why it might matter, and exactly what to ask. We never tell you a charge is wrong.

What happens to your bill
Medical bills are sensitive, so the design is simple: the bill stays on your device, and we keep nothing.
- Your bill never leaves your device. The file is read by your own browser (a PDF’s text layer directly, a scan or photo by text recognition that runs on your machine) and kept in your browser’s storage. It is never uploaded. We have no copy and no way to get one.
- One transmission, only when you ask for the findings. When you run the checks, your browser sends the figures it read (line items, amounts, dates, billing codes and the provider name) to a function that runs the checks in memory and returns the findings. It stores nothing. The patient’s name, account number, date of birth and member ID are never sent.
- Nothing about your bill is stored on our side. There is no database of bills, no account holding your documents, and nothing of yours on any server. Your bills, results and letters live in your browser; you can download them as a file, import them on another device, or erase them at any time.
- Stripe holds the payment record. If you pay for a bill or subscribe, Stripe takes the payment and keeps the record. Your browser keeps a signed receipt so you are never asked to pay for the same bill twice. Stripe never sees the bill.
- Bill contents never go into logs, analytics or error reports. There are no analytics at all.
